We are proud to have worked closely with Brett Foraker/RSA, Matt Westrup/Joyrider, the Golley Slater Cardiff's creative directors David Abbott and Paul Williams and Amanda Lowit at The TV Production Office to craft the music and sound design for the "Mitsubishi Motors in the UK" 30 second TV commercial for the New PHEV and Mitsubishi's sponsorship of C4 Documentaries which air from October 19th.
The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV was the world’s first 4WD Plug-in Hybrid SUV that produced a remarkable 148mpg and became the UK’s number one selling hybrid vehicle. The new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV not only has even more impressive numbers at its heart, but has undergone a complete redesign with stunning exterior styling and a premium interior finish.
In short, the new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV meant that on all levels ‘Numbers never looked this good’.
Rob Baker, one of SNK’s top engineers, sculpted the creative sound design for the 30 second TV commercial. It was key that there was a clear definition between the various environments, whilst maintaining the stylistic flow throughout the spot. Rob explains “the sound design and bespoke music have a real interplay and work together to form a really full-textured soundbed, we wanted the contemporary soundtrack to feel like one really coherent piece that underpinned the beautiful visuals”.

The media event of 2015 so far saw the worldwide launch of everyone's favourite fantasy series, Game of Thrones - Season 5 with a star-studded party at the historic Tower of London! SNK worked closely with our good friends at Giggle Group to provide bespoke sound design for the beautiful projection mapped backdrop. Daenerys' dragons were flying around the side of the Tower throughout the evening before setting the Game of Thrones logo alight.
Rumbly fireballs accompanied by huge dragon screams and wing-flaps were created to add even more drama and excitement to the 40 odd cast members parading down the red carpet. The massive audio system gave us the opportunity to output via four separate channels - an interesting technical challenge we had to overcome in order to create an ultra-wide audio spread to the action.

We've been squirrelling away writing original music and providing all the sound design, voice over recording and mixes for the latest moody, atmospheric and beautifully shot '13th Street' channel promos for NBC Universal - directed by Guy Soulsby.
Several versions of the audio were created to cater for different European territories, including 60, 30, 10 and 5 second cutdowns. In addition, SNK have recently been working with the lovely folk at NBC Universal to provide sound design and dubbing for other show promos, including the hit series 'American Crime'.
In partnership with our sister company, specialist audio agency Red Apple Creative, we were delighted to work with gaming giant Ubisoft for the release of the hugely anticipated Far Cry 4. To celebrate the launch of the Playstation only game we produced two, immersive 3D audio pieces specifically for the Spotify platform. Have a listen to one of the ads here.
Good question!! Since the increase in headphone listening due to the ubiquity of Spotify and other digital platforms, 3D Audio takes advantage of this opportunity to invite the listener into the heart of the action, via our cutting edge 'binaural' audio production techniques. Combined with great scriptwriting, our quasi-surround sound mixing and detailed sound design techniques give the audience a first-person perspective, without having to leave their normal headphone-wearing environment.
We're currently discussing 3D Audio projects with brands that embrace creativity and wish to add impact to their commercial productions, including film, gaming, autos and youth clients.

SNK Studios are pleased to announce their involvement in Guy Soulsby's DEVIL MAKES WORK, a sinister short film illustrating the devil's twisted view of humanity; our hopes and dreams, life, love and struggle together with the sacrifices we make for success.
We were delighted to have been so involved, creating a modern orchestral score and the sound design for both the film and trailer. It's a moody, textural and dramatic journey of instrumentation lovingly created by SNK Studios founder, Seb Juviler. Impactiful sound design was lead by senior engineer, Rob Baker along with a collaborative effort with the rest of the SNK team. Some of the top VFX and production houses in London were involved in the visuals, including Park Village, MPC, Unit, ENVY and Found. The result is a near feature film level of quality.
DEVIL MAKES WORK will be screened at Framestore on the 11th November between 6.30-8.30PM.
Dominos 'Delivering The Movies' up for 'Best TV/Cinema Advert' award
Good news! Film-themed Dominos TV ad, 'Delivering the Movies', for which SNK supplied all the original music composition, creative sound design, VO recording and dub for earlier this year is down to the final four in the 'Best TV/Cinema Ad' category at the Midlands Cream Awards! And so it should be! it's a corker of a spot from Big Communications and Director Guy Soulsby... With nods to classic film genres including Westerns, 70's cop dramas and big-budget alien invasions, it was great fun to work on - and a lovely opportunity for the SNK team to provide the complete audio treatment in-house.

We were cuffed to be asked by our good friends at Biscuit Agency to provide all the audio for the new 'Godz' spot. The dramatic sound design was a lot of fun to do(!) made even better by the fact that we got to spend the afternoon with the legendary Brian Blessed!! It's a tough life : )
