The media event of 2015 so far saw the worldwide launch of everyone's favourite fantasy series, Game of Thrones - Season 5 with a star-studded party at the historic Tower of London! SNK worked closely with our good friends at Giggle Group to provide bespoke sound design for the beautiful projection mapped backdrop. Daenerys' dragons were flying around the side of the Tower throughout the evening before setting the Game of Thrones logo alight.
Rumbly fireballs accompanied by huge dragon screams and wing-flaps were created to add even more drama and excitement to the 40 odd cast members parading down the red carpet. The massive audio system gave us the opportunity to output via four separate channels - an interesting technical challenge we had to overcome in order to create an ultra-wide audio spread to the action.
Here's to April 12th and the first episode - can't wait! ;)
We had a great time spotting all the sound design for this awesome two minute stop motion production from Thieves Kitchen, for their new corporate client Vocality.
They supply satellite communication hardware for uses in hostile and challenging environments, clearly a technical product thats made much more accessible and friendly through the use of such creative production.
Some foley recording, dozens of library effects and the odd silly voice were all combined to bring the picture to life and give it bags of character. We then recorded Ray Brooks aka. Mr Benn to narrate the whole spot and add his unique, warm, reassuring tones!
Working with Golden Joystick Award winners Jagex Games Studio we had lots of fun creating the music and sound design for two teaser films for the forthcoming Transformers Universe game.
Clicking, clunking and humming sounds along with originally created synth and drone effects were required to build up a world of weird and wonderful noises. The two teasers were watched more than 100,000 times in less than a week of going online!
